Wonderful setting in heart of chianti countryside, peaceful and full of character with plenty of space, you feel you are the only ones there. Our room was very comfortable with lovely views from both windows. lots of communal rooms to relax and outdoor seating areas to enjoy in the beautifully kept gardens. the staff are genuinely only too pleased to help at anytime. Would love to return.

It gives you a great sense of the Tuscan countryside, surrounded by vineyards, ideal for relaxing, hiking and bike-cycling. The luxury of the hotel is great and gives you a sense from the past. The breakfast is superb, as for sleep is concered one of the best matresses ever slept on! The staff was very kind (waited for us for almost 2 and a half hours, due to our flight-delay) and our room very clean. We definately recommend it!

The location and property were beautiful. The staff was very nice and helpful. The buffet breakfast was satisfactory and convenient. Excellent value for money. Our room was very traditional and beautifully decorated. We would definitely return. A car is essential, as it is in the middle of the countryside, so you have to be able to drive to restaurants, the cities etc.
The check out was a little inconvenient due to the limited opening hours of the reception (a few hours in the morning for departures and a few hours in the evening for arrivals).

Loved loved loved our time at La Canonica!! I've stayed many places but this was one of my favorites for sure. The apartment was absolutely perfect in every way. The grounds were simply gorgous and we loved having a private patio included with our apartment. The location was perfect too, with our car we were able to visit all of Tuscany very easily. The staff was super nice and accomodating. I can't wait to visit again! I would never dream of staying anywhere else.
The inn has no negative aspects but the location was difficult to find dinner a few nights. After returning from a long day of sightseeing we had to think ahead and eat in the towns we were visiting for the day before leaving and returning to our apartment. There are a few very small towns close to the inn but they only have few places to dine and most don't open till 7:30 as this is the standard dinner time in Italy. Again, this is of no reflection of the inn but just something to think about when making reservations. You must have a car.

The gorgeous location in rolling hills of Tuscany as well as the beautiful historical and intimate buildings of La Canonica with their comfortable, relaxing outside garden & pool facilities. Serenity reigns in this private, tucked-away spot. All its facilities, esp. the breakfast room, are more beautiful than pictured online.
It would be nice to have the breakfast room opened/served before 8am for those needing to get an early start.

The rooms are very nice and comfortable with air condition, good bed and good size bathroom. The gardens are really nice and excellent for relaxing. In addition, there's a pool for those hot summer days.
Breakfast is Italian style, which is very light compared to, say, what would be usual in a Nordic country. But this appears to be the same everywhere in Italy and not specific to La Canonica Di Cortine.

The location was the best along with the price for the area. Breakfast and breakfast area was lovely.
Rooms were very dark, cold, dull, boring and very dated. Internet only worked on lower level. Bed and comforter were old and uncomfortable.

Wonderful experience. The whole area was just gorgeous with rolling hills and vineyards as far as you can see. Our apartment was perfect. We were 4 women on our annual girl trip. Great location for visiting hill towns of Sienna, San Gimignano, and Pisa. We had all the comforts of home. Wonderful patio off the kitchen for unwinding after sightseeing all day. The smells of the jasmine and beautiful huge roses were breath taking. For a private get-away for some "me time" or as we did spending time with bff's it couldn't have been more perfect. The staff was excellent in helping with directions and anything else we needed. They run such an excellent business that we never really needed anything. No one wanted to leave. But if we happen to disappear, we will most likely be found at La Canonica Di Cortine.

The apartment was actually a very big house, with a very good kitchen and other facilities. The antique but very well conserved building, which once was a castle dating from 10th century, was very different from usual hotels. It was a typic Tuscan house like the ones we see on films.
The Tuscan winter is quite cold so heating was necessary, the heating rates for gas were quite expensive. Few restaurants in the neighboring, however we were acquaintaced of that.

This place is magnificent. We stayed in Villa Castrum. The design and quality of interior of our apartment and common areas in the villa is exceptional. The views and the surrounding area are very beautiful. Great value for money and absolutely beautiful experience.
In Marco Polo apartment we were delighted to see a dryer machine, but it was not functioning properly.
